Thorogood Hellfire- One of the best known names in the fire boot industry is Thorogood. Thorogood has created the Hellfire series which are some of the best fire boots. This Thorogood Hellfire review is going to discuss all the different models.

History of Thorogood: Thorogood was founded in 1892 under its parent company Weinbrenner Shoe Company. For more than 100 years, Weinbrenner has been a leading manufacturer and pioneering force in the American footwear industry. A lot of companies claim to say they are the innovators, but few are. Weinbrenner is definitely one because of all the safety and comfort designs they have created over time. Weinbrenner is an employee owned business and has over 300 employees.

Thorogood Hellfire fire boots: Thorogood took everything into consideration when creating the Hellfire fire boots; comfort, performance, safety, and looks. Yes even looks! We all know that firefighters like to look the best when they are in their uniforms. There are seven different versions of the Thorogood Hellfire fire boots. Each different version has several different models to choose. Because there are so many different Thorogood fire boots, Best Fire Gear is only going to give a brief overall of each main category. 1) Thorogood Hellfire Leather Structural/Wildland boots- In this category of fire boots there are the structural boots and wildland boots. The Hellfire leather structural/wildland fire boots come in both zip up and pull on models with heights between 10 inches and 14 inches. Some addition features of the Hellfire Leather Structural/Wildland boots are waterproof outers, flame resistant, cut resistant, steel safety toes, scuff resistant, and triple row sealed stitches.

2) Thorogood Structural/T.R.I./Wildland boots- These Thorogood fire boots come in both men's and women's with heights ranging from 10 inches to 14 inches. The boots come in both a pull up version and zip up version. There are four different models to choose from in this category.

3) Thorogood Hellfire Wildland boots- The Thorogood Hellfire wildland boots come in eight, nine, and ten inch heights. They also come in both men's and women's sizing. All of the Thorogood Hellfire wildland boots are zip ups and some feature a removable kiltie. These boots come in both black and brown and look very sharp.

4) Thorogood EMS boots- Perfect for EMS personnel, these Thorogood EMS boots are eight inches tall and have both men's and women's sizing. The EMS boots feature a front zipper, high visibility piping, soft fire retardant leather, and many more features. The Thorogood EMS boots are not designed for 1971-2007 structural fire fighting.

5) Thorogood Hellfire Rubber- Thorogood's Hellfire rubber fire boots provide superior protection for structural fire fighting. Thorogood has designed the Hellfire rubber series to meet and exceed the daily demands of field duty. These pull up fire boots feature a unique one piece liner construction, oversized toe cap, cushioned shin guard, polyurethane removable insole, and high temperature resisting reflective patches. Available in both men's and women's sizes.

6) Thorogood Hazmat /Structural fire boots- These neoprene rubber hazmat fire boots come in men's and women's sizing. They feature a flame/heat resistant upper, polyester lined inside, removable insole, steel shank, and heat resistance outsole.

7) Thorogood Rescue/Station fire boots- What better fire boot to wear around the station and look good!!! Thorogood offers many types of station fire boots to choose from. The various models range in size from six inches to ten inches. Additional choices include slip on, front zipper, side zipper, and traditional lace. Thorogood understands that not everybody wants a steel toe station boot so they have a few models without steel toe.
