Who is Phenix fire helmets? Phenix Technology was founded in 1972 by two firefighters who one common goal, make the best fire helmet possible. In order to be the best fire helmet, they knew that they had to make a safe fire helmet that lasted a long period of time and was comfortable. If anybody knew what was needed in a fire helmet, it was definitely these two firefighters.

It's been nearly forty years since Phenix Technology was founded and continues to grow. Currently, thousands of firefighters trust Phenix fire helmets on a daily basis. Phenix Technology is an ISO certified company and operates out of its facility located in Riverside, California.

What models are there for the Phenix fire helmets? Phenix Technology makes three styles of fire helmets and Best Fire Gear has compiled some information on each type. All of the Phenix fire helmets come with standard suspension liners that are fully adjustable from 6.5" to 8.5", assuring a perfect fit for almost every firefighter.

Phenix 1500 Series Fire Helmets- There are seven Phenix 1500 Series fire helmets. This model was last updated in 2007 and one of its major changes was increasing the shell's circumference by 1/8". Another improved feature is the "molded slot fitting" where the chinstrap attaches. The Phenix 1500 Series fire helmets come in the following colors: Red, Blue, Orange, Yellow, White, and Black.

Phenix 1500-2007 with NFPA Compliant Face Shield

All the same features as the Phenix fire helmet but instead of googles this fire helmet features an NFPA compliant 4.5" face shield with scratch resistant coating.

Phenix TC1 Traditional Composite Fire Helmets- These two styles of Phenix fire helmets feature a low center of gravity which helps prevent neck fatigue. These fire helmets interface with any SCBA mask. The approximate weight of the Phenix TCI Traditional Composite fire helmets is 56 oz. These helmets come in the following colors: yellow, black, white, and red.

Phenix Traditional Leather Fire Helmets- Very similar to the TCI fire helmets but featuring a leather shell. The approximate weight of these helmets is 55 oz. The Phenix Traditional leather fire helmets come in yellow, black, white, and red. There are two different models to choose from.
